Alegerea produselor trebuie realizata in functie de nevoile specifice ale pielii, care se schimba odata cu inaintarea in varsta. Vorbim de ten matur, in general, dupa varsta de 35 de ani, cand incep sa apara primele semne vizibile ale imbatranirii. Acestea includ pierderea elasticitatii, uscarea pielii, aparitia ridurilor fine si diminuarea fermitatii.
 
Pe masura ce procesul de regenerare celulara incetineste, pielea devine mai subtire si mai sensibila, necesitand o ingrijire mai atenta si produse adaptate. Este importanta utilizarea unor produse hidratante, nutritive si regenerante, care sustin productia de colagen si protejeaza pielea impotriva factorilor externi.
 
Pentru a preveni si incetini semnele imbatranirii, este recomandata adoptarea unei rutine corecte de ingrijire inca de la o varsta mai tanara, folosind produse potrivite care sa mentina pielea sanatoasa, ferma si luminoasa.
